REOPENING GUIDELINES 

The New Guyana School will be reopening on Monday, September 20, 2021.  

We will be using the following hybrid approach to learning. Please note, based on demand, we will also make available one fully virtual class section per level. If you are interested in continuing to attend fully virtual classes, please let us know by clicking here to fill out this form.

PRESCHOOL 

Our K2 and K3 learners will have face-to-face instruction Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

 NURSERY 

First and second-year nursery, K4 and K5, will have face-to-face instruction from Monday to Thursday.  

They will attend class virtually on Fridays.  

Each K4 and K5 class will be divided into two groups so that the class size will not exceed 11 students.  

Group 1 will attend school from 8 AM to 11:30 AM, while Group 2 will attend from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM.  

Following this approach, face-to-face instruction will be from Monday to Thursday, while all K4 and K5 classes will be conducted virtually on Fridays. 

PRIMARY 

All classes will be split into two groups with a maximum class size of 13 students.  

Group 1:- 

Group 1 will attend school on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  

Class times on Monday and Wednesday will be from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM and on Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 noon.  

Group 1 students will be engaged on our virtual learning platform on Tuesday and Thursday.  

Group 2:-  

Group 2 will attend school on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. 

Class times on Tuesday and Thursday will be from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM and on Friday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.   

Group 2 students will be engaged on our virtual learning platform on Monday and Wednesday.  

We will make every effort to place siblings and immediate family members in the same groups. 

Grades 5 and 6 will have class from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

SECONDARY 

Our class sizes are small for our Secondary Division.  

We will be resuming full face-to-face instruction from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM from Monday to Friday.
