We are happy that you have considered The New Guyana Senior Secondary School for the next stage in your child's education.
Our Mission
We strive to provide:
1. A structured and safe environment with an emphasis on discipline
2. A diverse range of subjects and extra-curriculars to produce well-rounded leaders of tomorrow
3. Practical application of knowledge to real-world business, administration and technology tasks
4. An awareness of God's glory in nature, design, engineering, art, and all human endeavours, and a heart of worship for Jesus.
Subjects
The subjects done in the Lower Levels are:
Mathematics, English A, English B, Integrated Science, Agricultural Science, Spanish, Coding (Computer Programming), Information Technology, EDPM, History, Social Studies, Bible Studies, Chess, Public Speaking & Debate, Sports, Music, and a Capstone Project to expose them to real-world entrepreneurship.
In the upper levels, we add Chemistry, Physics, Biology and HSB, as well as Principles of Business, Principles of Accounts and Office Administration.
As part of the General Sports curriculum, all children rotate through 4 core sports (Football, Basketball, Lawn Tennis & Track). There are also after-school clubs for each of these.
