The much-anticipated day is almost here – the first day of school! It's that time of the year when backpacks are packed with fresh school supplies, and students eagerly anticipate reuniting with friends and embarking on new learning adventures. We are thrilled to welcome everyone back and kick off another incredible academic year at New Guyana School.
Date
Tomorrow, September 18th is the first day back to school. We can't wait to see our students' smiling faces as they walk through the school gates. To ensure a smooth start, please take note of the following arrival and dismissal times.
Arrival Times
Students should arrive at school by the following times:
- Nursery - 7:45am
- Primary and Secondary – 8am
Parents dropping off their children are kindly requested to use the designated drop-off zones to keep traffic flowing smoothly.
We encourage all families to arrive a bit early, allowing for a relaxed and stress-free beginning to the day.
Gate Closure
Note that the school gate will close at 8:31am, so please make every effort to arrive before that cutoff.
Dismissal Time
School will conclude at the following dismissal times, and parents are welcome to pick up their children promptly.
- K2 and K3 – 12pm
- K4 and K5 – 1pm
- Grade 1 and 2 – 3:30pm
- Grade 3, 4 and 5 – 4pm
- Secondary - 3:30pm
